Sommerspaziergang 2024

Members and guests of the German Club are invited to join our summer afternoon walk on 3rd August around Apperley and Deerhurst. The walk will start at 2pm from the car park at Apperley Village Hall, where there is plenty of parking, and will take around 1½ - 2 hours.

We will walk through Apperley and down the hill to the Coalhouse Inn. Then along the river bank to Deerhust and back up to the car park in Apperley. Then drive to the Farmer's Arms to conclude the afternoon with coffee and cake/dessert.

Note that this walk will involve climbing a number of stiles - there are 4 on the well-used section along the river bank between the Coalhouse Inn and Deerhurst, plus another 3 going back up the hill (a gentle slope) into Apperley. We regret therefore that this walk will not be suitable for people with limited mobility.

However, if you feel the walk is not for you, do come along to the Farmer’s Arms to join the walkers around 3:30 - 4pm.

The Farmers Arms have asked us to give them an indication of numbers for them to be expecting so, whether walking or not, if you will be joining us at the Farmers Arms please email club@cheltgesell.uk by Friday 26th July to let us know you will be coming so we can give them due notice.
